On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, on September 19th 2017, Luxembourg Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, held a bilateral meeting with Jack Ma, founder and chairman of the Alibaba Group, at the ‘Maison du Luxembourg’ in New York.
During this interview, the current economic development of Luxembourg and the European Union was discussed, as well as the consequences of the Brexit on Luxembourg and the European Union, but also on the economy and world finance. In addition, Xavier Bettel highlighted Luxembourg capabilities as a telecommunication hub as well as reminded the recent and strong development of Fintech in the Grand Duchy.
At the end of the interview, Xavier Bettel invited Jack Ma to visit Luxembourg.
