This White Paper, developed as part of Luxembourg’s normative strategy, aims to promote a better understanding of the blockchains and DLT domain, both in terms of technology and in terms of economic potential, but also through an overview current international standardization activities. The implementation of technical standards offers a significant support for future developments of these technologies, particularly in terms of interoperability, security, privacy or governance.
The aim of the White Paper is to facilitate the understanding of these new concepts for the national market and thus intends to be a useful tool to grasp the challenges and potential opportunities in terms of innovation, transformation and economic growth. It also aims to promote market involvement in related fledgling technical standardization activities, in order to ensure that national interests are taken into account in future technical standards of the field.
