On the occasion of the Luxembourg National Day, the Luxembourg Consulate in Shanghai hosted a reception on June 22nd .
This year’s National Day had an additional touch, as a special guest from Luxembourg, the marvellous coloratura soprano Stephany Ortega, performed the National Anthems of China and Luxembourg as well as the European Anthem.
Consul General Luc Decker took this opportunity to give a speech about Luxembourg’s future with a focus on its transition towards the Third Industrial Revolution. The ultimate objective being to make Luxembourg the first smart country. Mr. Decker further explained how this prospect opens the door to exciting business opportunities for Luxembourg and Chinese companies active in developing the technologies of the future.
