Luxembourg has once again been ranked as a leading European and global financial centre according the latest edition of the Global Financial Centres Index 28. The index is published by China Development Institute (CDI) in Shenzhen and Z/Yen Partners in London. It provides evaluations of future competitiveness and rankings for 111 major financial centres around the world. The study ranks Luxembourg as the 12th most important financial centre in the world. The country improves its position by 6 places compared to the previous edition. The ranking is topped by New York, London and Shanghai.
Luxembourg is ranked as number one in the EU, followed by Edinburgh (#13) , Frankfurt (#16) and Paris (#18).
